We
publish a newsletter annually that we send by email to any Alpha
Gam sister who requests it as well as Alpha Gams in the Washington area and Alpha Xi sisters who have email addresses on file with us or IHQ, almost 700 sisters. To get onto our list to get the PDF newsletter by email, just send an email to AGD-PAC's Permanent Secretary, Janice Fisher, at jfpfisher@verizon.net. Include your name, chapter,
and the email address to which you want the newsletter sent. We would also like
to know your address and phone number for our records, but sisters do not have to
provide them to get the newsletter. You can request that we not share your email with verified Alpha Gam sisters who were your chapter-mates if you prefer. Your privacy is important to us, so we are strictly careful to not share any information that you request be kept private.
So just let us know. We do not share address or phone number information unless we have contacted you and you specifically OK the release to an individual.
If you have personal news you would like to share with your Alpha Gam sisters through our newsletter, you can send it through August to our Editor or to the AGD-PAC Permanent Secretary Janice Fisher at the email above for inclusion in the next newsletter.
Facebook - An easy way to keep up with events as they unfold is to join AGD-PAC's Facebook Group - Alpha Gamma Delta Potomac Alumnae Chapter. This is a private members-only group but is open to any verified Alpha Gam whether they are a PAC member or not. Zoom and in-person meeting notices and news are shared on this platform. Sisters are verified with International Headquarters before being admitted to the Group, so you are sure posts are private.
Email Group - We have an email group. Anyone who wishes to be added and get periodic emails with details about upcoming events, just email Janice Fisher at jfpfisher@verizon.net and tell her your name, chapter, initiation year, and the email at which you wish to receive the group emails. She will set you up and you will receive a Welcome email and immediately start getting the group emails. You may also send emails to the group. It is a great way to stay in touch.
Instagram - The group name is AGD_PAC_Alumnae. This is the newest of our Keeping in Touch options and has the same privacy and security features.
Information on meetings and news are shared on all three platforms as well as through this web site although because this web site is public, many details are limited for security and privacy so pick one of the platforms above to get the details. Pick your preferred method or join them all. Our Editor also periodically issues flyers on upcoming events between newsletters and IRD information is released through these three venues in addition to the individual announcements sent on individual events.
Networking - Did you know that International Headquarters has a way for signed-in verified members logged into their web site to ask for a listing of names of sisters living in a specific zip code? You can check out all the zip codes in your area. The address is not included, just the zip code, and the email if the sister has one made public so that you can contact local sisters. This is a great way to see if sisters live near you and to plan carpooling to events or get-togethers. Check it out through the Member Directory after you log into the MyAlphaGam tab. Another good reason to keep your info updated with IHQ. If you have any problems updating your info, Permanent Secretary Janice Fisher can help.
