Potomac Alumnae Chapter (PAC) Major Events in 2024-2025 - The Board met during the summer to plan imaginative ways to meet, do worthwhile service, have educational events/workshops, and fun social activities.  On Sunday the 15th, we had our annual holiday party, this year at Debbie Overly's lovely home in Olney with a delightful lunch.  Huge
thank you to Debbie. Our wrapped squirrel gift exchange is always great fun. Sisters again donated many boxes of supplies to the food pantry. Click to

January 2025 - Officer Nominations - In January, nominations were gathered for new officers.

February 2025 -
As part of our official Week of Service Event, on Wednesday, February 19th, we hosted our annual birthday party at

including cake and
ice cream. We provided gift cards for the birthday ladies and scores of small gifts for all the ladies at the shelter. They really
 loved the
morale-booster.  See pictures of some items donated and gift bags at the right.  Then throughout
February and March, we participated
in various other service activities such as making placemats and valentine cards for seniors.

March 2025 - In addition to the continuing philanthropic efforts, since we are hosting International Reunion Day this year or the 3 alumnae groups
and collegiates, we had planning meetings and IRD prep work to make name tags and put together numerous themed baskets of donated and hand-                                                   made items to raffle at IRD with proceeds to the Foundation.

May 2025 - The last regular event of the 2024-25 year will be a brunch and officer installations. Details will be on the AGD-PAC email group, AGD-PAC Facebook, AGD-PAC Instagram, or contact an officer listed on this page or the webmaster listed on the Home page.

Special Events - We will add additional impromptu social and philanthropy events announced through AGD-PAC Facebook, Instagram and Email Groups as info is available (see below on how to join the groups). For instance, one time we made 75 soft plush "piggy" toys for the sick children at NIH. It was fun and the piggies were so cute (click here to see some). In others, we arranged to hear all about foraging and the organic life or attended a presentation on "suffragettes", Museum Live events, happy hours, "Brookside Holiday Lights", May 30th Founders Dinner-out, and many more. Sisters, please suggest what you particularly want to do -- service op, happy hour, restaurant, movie, game night, watch/play sports, picnic, barbeque, tea/coffee, mall event, home shopping night, opera/play/musical, family event, children's play date, class/demo/workshop, tour, book club, walk/run, nature hike, museum/gallery, potluck, cookie swap, or whatever tickles your fancy. If you think of something, send a group email through AGD-PAC Groups on what you want to do and when, so sisters can join in (see below) or email an officer if you prefer.

                                              LIFE IS BETTER WITH SISTERS

Anyone interested in contributing time, items, ideas or funds to PAC is invited to share with us the joy of service and sisterhood. Annual support fees are $30, and since we do not have a collegiate chapter contributing funds to us, they are our only regular income. But you are welcome to come in any case, anytime, always our sister. Support fees or other donations can be sent to PAC's Treasurer, Debbie Finch. You can contact her at purplefinchd@yahoo.com for mailing directions or PayPal method.
Facebook - An easy way to keep up with events as they unfold is to join our Facebook Group - Alpha Gamma Delta Potomac Alumnae Chapter. Just find us in Facebook and ask to join. You will be asked for your name, chapter, initiation year. January 2025, we have 119 Facebook sisters. For questions, email Janice Fisher at jfpfisher@verizon.net.

Instagram - The group name is AGD_PAC_Alumnae. This is the newest of our Keeping in Touch options. For details, contact Patti Conville at psconville@gmail.com.

Any sister who wishes to be added and get periodic emails with details about upcoming events, just email Janice Fisher at jfpfisher@verizon.net and tell her your name, chapter, initiation year, and the email at which you wish to receive the group emails. She will set you up and you will receive a Welcome email and immediately start getting the group emails. You may also send emails to the group. It is a great way to stay in touch, totally private, secure, and you get the same postings as through the Facebook Group so you can pick whichever fits you best or sign up for both.

Newsletter - We publish an annual newsletter by September that any sister anywhere can get. See the Newsletter page for details. To get onto the newsletter list, contact Janice Fisher at jfpfisher@verizon.net. Our editor, Patti Conville, also periodically issues supplements through the Email Group, Facebook and Instagram.
